They state that high-end material finishes, and hospitality-certified healthcare staff were the two greatest influences on patient choice. They also stated less healthy patients willing to pay, on average, 13% higher out-of-pocket expenses for hotel-like hospital rooms. The article relays the importance of comfort within the healthcare industry. Patients will pay for a higher level of comfort during their treatment. With this dedication and care to create environments that focus on patient care and comfort there will be greater chances to exceed the quality of life. It is equally important for the facility and healthcare providers to desire the enhance of patient experiences.
The patient rooms within the Cancer Treatment and Rehabilitation facility will not be like a traditional hospital room. The facility is dedicated to ensuring the highest level of comfort for the patent. There will be opportunities for the patient to bring personal belongings to into their private room to improve their daily gaiety. Within the facility there will be rooms that are within the treatment package for patients that require extra care due to being in a less healthy state. These rooms will be set up for the overall heightening of the patients quality of life. The rooms will be designed using Chromotherapy and materials and finishes that relieve positive vibrations to the patient.
